Photography is the story I fail to put into words.

I recently joined in on a blog circle called "4 on 4", where we share 4 of our favorite pictures on the 4th from the previous month. I know this will be fun, and hopefully whoever reads this post can gain a little inspiration and find even more as they pass through the circle! July was a very busy month for us! We took a family vacation through the Columbia River Gorge, down the Oregon coast, over to Crater Lake, then back to the northern California coast through the Redwoods, San Francisco then east to Lake Tahoe, past the Bonneville Salt Flats and finally home. We also went to the Tetons for a weekend, where I met up with two fabulous photographer friends to shoot together, as well as more family time. Needless to say, I have thousands of pictures to choose from, so narrowing it down to four was TOUGH! Here are the four I chose, though I don't know if I can even say they're my favorite four. (Well, the family shot, is my very favorite of the whole month!) A little about each shot: One evening, when we were actually at home, my whole family was outside at sunset (they were playing Pokemon), and I thought it would be fun to get a silhouette shot of us for our wall. I put my camera down on the ground, used my wi-fi and app, and got this. The sky wasn't quite this purple, it was more of a deep blue, and the purple is due to photoshop. ;) I woke up at 5 am to get to Schwabacher's Landing while we were in the Tetons. Such a peaceful morning to just gaze at God's beauty! Going across the Golden Gate bridge has been on my bucket list for a long time. I got to mark it off while we were in San Francisco, and even though the city was shrouded in fog that day, we saw the sun and a patch of blue sky for a very short period of time. The Redwoods are amazing! Driving along the road took us in and out of patches of fog. At one of those patches, I saw a pull out, and practically yelled at my hubby to stop so I could get a picture. I'm so glad we did, because the rays coming through the fog were just amazing! Vacations are fun, but a lot of work! My favorite thing about going on vacation is leaving reality behind and spending some quality time with my sweet little family.
What do you love about going on vacation? Now, I encourage you to continue on the blog circle and check out Chrissy's blog by clicking here, to see her favorite four from July!
Absolutely beautiful images! It is on my wishlist to travel down the west coast for vacation one summer and see the redwoods and Big Sur. Comments are closed.
